About Bravery Winery

Bravery Winery is a small, veteran-owned farm winery in the village of Dresden, New York, on the western side of Seneca Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Its intimate tasting room offers guided tastings of hand-crafted New York State wines in a warm, community-minded setting, with a mission centered on honoring everyday courage and the people — veterans, first responders, and ordinary neighbors — who do common things in uncommon ways.

The winery was founded by Corey Christman, a former U.S. Air Force Special Agent from Oswego, New York, who turned to winemaking after retiring from service. After completing enology coursework at Washington State University in 2014, he began a long apprenticeship under head winemaker Peter Becraft at Anthony Road Wine Company, where Bravery's wines are still produced. He and his wife Jennifer built the Bravery brand over nearly a decade.

What began as a wine label became a licensed New York farm winery in 2023, and Corey and Jennifer opened the Dresden tasting room on December 6, 2024. The winery partners with military and first-responder nonprofits — including the Yellow Ribbon Fund, the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, Clear Path for Veterans, and The Special Liberty Project — donating at least $2 from every bottle sold.
